Character from harry-potter-goblet-of-fire by
Voldemort's enormous snake familiar — feeding him her venom to sustain his fetal form and coiling protectively around the creature that will become the most feared wizard in the world.
Nagini is more than a pet. She provides the venom that sustains Voldemort's wretched proto-body, she serves as his eyes and ears (he can see through her senses), and she hunts for him when Pettigrew's caretaking falls short. She killed Frank Bryce alongside Voldemort — or rather, Voldemort killed Bryce with the wand while Nagini watched from the armchair, coiled like a throne. Harry sees her in his dreams — or rather, Harry sees through Voldemort's eyes and watches Nagini move through the Riddle House. The connection between Harry and Voldemort means Nagini's presence flickers at the edge of Harry's consciousness, a snake in the darkness he can't quite explain. She will become a Horcrux — if she isn't one already — and her death will be necessary for Voldemort's.
Enormous green snake, twelve feet long, thick as a man's thigh. Glittering dark eyes with vertical pupils. Moves with terrifying speed and silence. Currently residing in the Riddle House in Little Hangleton.
