Shell Cottage

Location from harry-potter-deathly-hallows by

Bill and Fleur's seaside cottage -- where the Horcrux hunt paused to breathe, where Dobby's grave overlooks the sea, and where Harry chose Horcruxes over Hallows.

Shell Cottage is where Harry digs Dobby's grave by hand and decides what he's fighting for. The elf's death crystallizes the choice between Horcruxes and Hallows -- power or sacrifice. He chooses sacrifice. He plans the Gringotts break-in here, negotiates with Griphook, questions Ollivander about wand lore. Luna recovers. Dean recovers. The cottage is small and the war is vast, but for a few weeks it is enough. The headstone reads: 'Here Lies Dobby, A Free Elf.'

Appearance

Small, pretty cottage overlooking the sea, shells worked into whitewashed walls. Garden running to a cliff edge above the beach. Sound of waves constant. Dobby's grave in the garden, marked with a simple headstone.
