Grimmauld Place is the trio's first hideout after Bill and Fleur's wedding. They plan the Ministry infiltration here, practice their Polyjuice disguises, and discover through Kreacher that Mundungus Fletcher stole the real locket and sold it to Umbridge. Kreacher, transformed by Harry's kindness and the gift of Regulus's locket, begins cooking meals and cleaning the house. The house is compromised after Yaxley grabs Hermione's arm during the Ministry escape, potentially seeing the house's location through Side-Along Apparition. They abandon it for the countryside, the tent, and months on the run.
