The village where the Potters lived and died -- Harry visits his parents' graves on Christmas Eve and is ambushed by Nagini disguised as Bathilda Bagshot inside a dead woman's cottage.
Harry and Hermione visit Godric's Hollow on Christmas Eve, disguised by Polyjuice Potion. They find his parents' graves -- the headstone reads 'The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.' They visit the ruined cottage. They are lured to Bathilda Bagshot's house by what appears to be the elderly historian but is actually Nagini in disguise, planted there by Voldemort. The trap nearly kills them. Nagini attacks, Harry's wand is destroyed in the escape, and they barely Disapparate in time. The village is layered with ghosts -- the Potters, the Dumbledores, Bathilda herself, all the history that led to this moment pressing down on the cobblestones.
Small English village with a church, pub, and cottages. War memorial that transforms into a statue of James, Lily, and baby Harry for wizarding visitors. The Potters' ruined cottage, upper floor blasted open. Graveyard behind the church. Snow on Christmas Eve.
