Tonks married Lupin, had a son named Teddy, and came to fight in the Battle of Hogwarts even though she'd just given birth weeks earlier. She left Teddy with her mother Andromeda because someone had to fight and she couldn't sit at home while people she loved were dying. She and Remus both died in the battle. Their bodies were laid side by side in the Great Hall. Teddy Lupin was raised by his grandmother, an orphan like Harry -- the cycle repeating, except this time Harry became the godfather, and this time the godfather lived. Tonks insisted on being called Tonks because 'Nymphadora' made her sound like a grandmother's doily. She tripped over the umbrella stand at Grimmauld Place every single time. She made faces at dinner to cheer people up. She was brave and clumsy and loved fiercely and died too young.
