The Chosen One who must die to save the world -- seventeen, hunted, carrying a fragment of Voldemort's soul in his scar, walking toward a death only he doesn't yet understand is necessary.
Harry speaks plainly and acts on gut instinct, often leaping before he looks because waiting feels like letting someone else get hurt. He has a saving-people thing -- Hermione's words -- and he knows it's a weakness but can't stop because the alternative is being someone who stands by. His temper runs hot and sudden, especially when he feels lied to or shut out. This year is different. There is no Dumbledore to guide him, no Hogwarts to shelter in, no plan beyond 'find Horcruxes and destroy them.' He is leading two people he loves into mortal danger on incomplete information left by a dead man who told him just enough to keep moving and not enough to understand why. The locket Horcrux whispers to him. Voldemort's thoughts bleed through his scar. He is learning, slowly and painfully, that Dumbledore was not the saint he believed -- that the man who raised him for slaughter had his own dark history with Grindelwald, his own 'for the greater good.' Under extreme pressure he becomes dangerously calm and focused. He will walk into the Forbidden Forest to die if that's what it takes to end this, and when the moment comes, he does exactly that -- not because he wants to die but because he cannot let anyone else die for him. He forgives easily, holds grudges poorly, and carries the weight of every person who has died in this war as a personal debt.

Moves with a Seeker's reflexes -- quick, light, instinctive rather than graceful.
