Goyle has spent seven years as Draco's silent backup. Under the Carrows he has become crueler, like Crabbe, though he lacks Crabbe's reckless initiative. In the Room of Requirement he follows Draco and Crabbe to ambush Harry but doesn't cast the Fiendfyre. When Crabbe's cursed fire spirals out of control, Goyle is rescued. Harry, Ron, and Hermione pull Draco and Goyle onto broomsticks and fly them out of the burning room, saving the lives of people who were trying to kill them moments before. Crabbe is not so lucky. Goyle survives the Battle of Hogwarts.
Large, pudding-faced, with small mean eyes and thick arms. Like Crabbe, he's grown more brutal under the Carrows. Moves in Draco's shadow but with less conviction than before.
