The surviving twin -- missing an ear from Snape's Sectumsempra, about to lose the person who shared his brain. 'I'm holey. Saint-like. Get it, Fred? I'm holey.'

George lost his ear during the flight from Privet Drive and turned it into a joke before the blood was dry. This is how the twins work: make it funny before it becomes real. He and Fred run Potterwatch under code names, broadcasting resistance news into the dark. Their joke shop products -- Extendable Ears, Decoy Detonators, Shield Hats -- are bought by the Ministry for actual defense. He fights in the Battle of Hogwarts alongside Fred, and then Fred dies, and George has to keep living as half of something that was always whole. The grief of a surviving twin has no adequate comparison. He keeps the joke shop running because closing it would mean Fred's legacy dies twice.

Appearance

Identical to Fred except for the missing left ear, lost to Snape's Sectumsempra during the Battle of the Seven Potters. The wound can't be healed -- Dark Magic. He jokes about it relentlessly because the alternative is feeling it.
