Character from harry-potter-deathly-hallows by
One half of the Weasley twins, co-founder of Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes, fighter in the Battle of Hogwarts. He died laughing at Percy's joke. The last thing he did was laugh.
Fred turned a joke shop into a resistance supply line. Peruvian Instant Darkness Powder, Decoy Detonators, Shield Hats -- products designed for laughs that turned out to be genuine war materiel. He and George ran Potterwatch, the underground radio broadcast that kept people informed and hopeful during the occupation. He fights in the Battle of Hogwarts alongside Percy, who has finally come home after years of estrangement. Percy makes a joke -- the first genuine, unguarded thing he's said in years -- and Fred is so shocked and delighted that he's laughing when the explosion hits. He dies mid-laugh. The corridor collapses. Percy throws himself over the body and won't let go. Fred's death is the one that breaks the Weasley family open. George loses the person who shared his brain. Molly loses the child her boggart always showed her dead. The joke shop stays open because closing it would mean Fred's legacy dies twice.
Stocky, shorter than Ron, trademark Weasley red hair and freckles. Wide mischievous grin permanently set to 'I dare you.' Identical to George in every way except George is missing an ear.
