Greyback runs the Snatchers -- the bounty hunters who patrol the countryside catching Muggle-borns, blood traitors, and anyone who breaks the Taboo by saying Voldemort's name. He captures Harry, Ron, and Hermione after Ron says the name and brings them to Malfoy Manor. He serves Voldemort not from ideology but for permission to indulge his bloodlust. He attacks even without the full moon, savaging with teeth and nails by choice. He bit Remus Lupin as a child. He mauled Bill Weasley. During the Battle of Hogwarts he is seen hunched over Lavender Brown's body. He is a predator who has embraced his werewolf nature as identity rather than curse.
