The Quidditch pitch this year hosts the match where everything goes wrong. The Slytherin team has new Nimbus 2001 broomsticks, bought by Lucius Malfoy, and Draco sneers at Harry from his expensive broom. But the real danger is the rogue Bludger -- enchanted by Dobby to chase Harry specifically, which it does with relentless, arm-shattering determination. Harry catches the Snitch despite a broken arm, only for Lockhart to attempt a healing spell that removes every bone in his arm instead. The pitch is where talent meets sabotage, and where Harry proves that winning with a broken arm is preferable to letting Lockhart near him with a wand.
