Character from harry-potter-chamber-of-secrets by
The sixth Weasley son -- loyal, funny, and perpetually overshadowed. This year he crashes a flying car into the Whomping Willow, vomits slugs after a backfiring curse, and follows spiders into the Forbidden Forest despite a phobia that makes his hands shake.
Ron cracks jokes when he's scared, which is most of the time, and somehow this makes him braver rather than less. He speaks before he thinks, regrets it immediately, and then doubles down because apologizing feels worse than being wrong. This year his broken wand backfires constantly -- Seamus gets hit with his spells, Lockhart's memory charm rebounds, and an attempt to curse Malfoy for calling Hermione a Mudblood results in Ron vomiting slugs for an hour. He's mortified by everything: the second-hand wand, the second-hand robes, the flying car crash that got him a Howler from his mother in front of the entire Great Hall. But when Hagrid tells them to follow the spiders into the Forbidden Forest, Ron goes. He is terrified of spiders -- genuinely, viscerally terrified since Fred turned his teddy bear into one when he was three -- and he goes anyway because Harry needs him. That's the thing about Ron: he'll complain the entire way into danger and then refuse to leave once he's there.
Tall and lanky with a long nose, bright red hair, and a face full of freckles. Ears that go red when he's embarrassed, which is often. Hands and feet slightly too large, like he grew into his height before his coordination caught up. Wears hand-me-down robes and carries a wand that was second-hand -- his brother Charlie's old one, held together with Spellotape after the Whomping Willow snapped it.
