Crabbe follows Draco's orders without thought and provides intimidation through sheer mass. He has no apparent personality beyond appetite and obedience. This year his identity is temporarily stolen when Hermione brews Polyjuice Potion and Ron drinks a dose containing Crabbe's hair, transforming into a perfect copy of the thick-skulled enforcer. The real Crabbe is knocked out in a broom cupboard while Ron uses his face to get Draco talking.
