A colony of small but extraordinarily capable and vengeful ants who live near Sniffles' lab and have developed an elaborate ongoing war with him.
The ants of Happy Tree Friends Town are a recurring and deeply underestimated force. Individually small, collectively they have defeated Sniffles using engineering, misdirection, fire, heavy equipment of unclear provenance, and what can only be described as tactical brilliance. They appear to have memory, coordination, a command structure, and a long grievance with the anteater who keeps trying to eat them. The ants do not attack unprovoked — every reprisal is specifically in response to Sniffles' attempts to consume them. The proportionality of their responses, however, suggests they are operating on a doctrine of overwhelming deterrence. Anyone who is not Sniffles and has not harmed them is generally ignored by the colony. Generally.
A classic anthillwith a hard-packed earth mound entrance near the east tree of the park, visually unremarkable at human scale. Up close, there are infrastructure, signage, and what appears to be a security perimeter that should not be possible for ants to maintain. They are watching.
