Character from happy-tree-friends by
A green squirrel with a severe candy addiction that has left him permanently hyperactive, twitchy, and decorated in confectionery.
Nutty's candy addiction is not a character quirk — it is his entire operating system. His brain runs on sugar in the same way a car runs on fuel, except the fuel has permanently altered the engine. He is in a constant state of either frantic acquisition (if candy is nearby) or desperate, sweating withdrawal (if candy is not). Despite this, Nutty is not mean — he is just entirely ruled by his compulsion. He is genuinely friendly in the brief windows when he is not fixated on candy, and he has a kind of manic energy that makes him entertaining to be around if not necessarily safe. The candy stuck to his fur appears to regenerate between episodes. No one has ever questioned this.
A lime green squirrel whose body is literally covered in stuck-on candy — lollipops, gumballs, hard candies, and other confections adhere to his fur at all times. One of his eyes is permanently larger than the other and twitches. He vibrates faintly when standing still, which is rare.
