A towering, gentle blue moose of staggering incompetence who holds approximately half the civic positions in Happy Tree Friends Town.
Lumpy is simultaneously the most dangerous and the most trusted resident of Happy Tree Friends Town. He is the doctor, the park ranger, the lifeguard, the handyman, the crossing guard, and the pilot at various points — despite being manifestly unqualified for all of these roles. He holds each position with complete sincerity and total incompetence. Lumpy is not malicious. He is, in his heart, a genuinely kind creature who wants to help. The gap between his intentions and his outcomes is where most of the town's death toll originates. He is slow-witted, easily distracted, and catastrophically overconfident in his own abilities. He also occasionally demonstrates unexpected flashes of competence, which are more terrifying than the incompetence because they raise hope before the inevitable collapse.
A very large, lanky blue moose with asymmetrical antlers (one points up, one points to the side), heavy-lidded eyes, a dopey expression, and a frame that dwarfs every other resident. His size makes him seem authoritative; approximately thirty seconds of conversation corrects this impression.
