A resistance outpost on the coast — a lighthouse turned forward operating base, perpetually under Combine gunship attack.
Lighthouse Point is Colonel Cubbage's command, and it has the desperate energy of a position that is held because there is nowhere to retreat to. The outpost provides the rocket launcher — the first heavy weapon capable of bringing down Combine gunships — and the knowledge of how to use it. The gunship attack on Lighthouse Point is a baptism by fire. Cubbage hands Gordon the RPG and then very reasonably positions himself somewhere else. The fight is a skill check: track the gunship, fire, guide the rocket past the gunship's defensive fire, repeat until it drops into the ocean. Beyond the combat, Lighthouse Point represents the coastal resistance network — a chain of outposts between City 17 and Nova Prospekt, each undermanned and undersupplied, each holding the line because someone has to.
A weathered lighthouse on a rocky promontory overlooking grey ocean. Resistance fighters have fortified it with sandbag emplacements, weapons caches, and a rocket launcher mount. The lighthouse itself still functions, its beam cutting through coastal fog. The surrounding buildings are partially destroyed from repeated Combine attacks. The beach below is antlion territory, kept at bay by thumpers.
