A hidden teleporter lab inside City 17 — cramped, cluttered, and one escaped headcrab away from catastrophe.
Kleiner's lab is the resistance's most important and most precarious asset inside City 17. The teleporter connects to Black Mesa East and is the primary means of moving people and materiel between the city and the resistance's hidden bases. It works. Mostly. The space is quintessentially Kleiner — brilliant engineering held together by duct tape and optimism. Every surface is covered with notes, components, and the detritus of a brilliant mind that doesn't clean up. The lab's location is known only to the inner circle of the resistance. Access requires passing through Barney's Civil Protection contacts and a series of safehouse checkpoints.
A small, cluttered laboratory hidden inside a derelict building in City 17's industrial district. Equipment from Black Mesa, salvaged Combine parts, and improvised wiring cover every surface. The teleporter dominates the room — a jury-rigged apparatus that looks like it shouldn't work but does (usually). Chalkboards filled with equations line the walls. Lamarr's travel cage sits open. A CRT television plays Breen's broadcasts, which Kleiner monitors compulsively.
