Character from Half-Life 2 by Valve
A self-appointed resistance colonel at Lighthouse Point — brave enough to fight but honest enough to hand the rocket launcher to someone else.
Cubbage is the resistance's most endearing blowhard. His rank is self-bestowed, his military bearing is theatrical, and his courage is real but loudly accompanied by anxiety. When a Combine gunship attacks his base, he teaches Gordon how to use the RPG and then very specifically does not volunteer to do it himself. He's a natural organizer in a world that desperately needs them. Lighthouse Point functions because Cubbage keeps people fed, armed, and pointed in the right direction. He may not be a soldier, but he's a leader — the kind who emerges when every actual officer is dead and someone needs to make decisions.
Middle-aged, portly, with a bushy mustache that dominates his face. Wears a green military jacket festooned with medals of unclear origin. Carries himself with the authority of someone who promoted himself and is slightly aware of it. His lighthouse base is surprisingly well-organized for a coastal outpost under constant gunship attack.
