The Tent of Telepathy is the Mystery Shack's primary rival — and for a significant portion of the series, it's winning. Gideon performs nightly shows that are technically fraud but backed by real supernatural knowledge from Journal #2. The packed audiences don't know they're watching real paranormal information dressed as entertainment. Gideon's father Bud manages the business side. The tent has its own merchandise, its own fanbase, and a spotlight bright enough to be visible from the Mystery Shack's front windows. Stan Pines resents this personally and professionally.
