The ancestral estate of the Northwest family — built atop a hill by lumberjacks who were promised an annual public party and never got one, a promise that created a 150-year ghost problem.
The Northwest Mansion is built on a broken promise. A lumberjack named Archibald Corduroy helped construct it in exchange for an annual public party for the town — the Northwests never held the party, kept only the wealthy class, and accumulated generational guilt that eventually manifested as a literal ghost who turned guests into wood. Pacifica opened the gates. The ghost was appeased. The Northwests lost their fortune in Weirdmageddon, invested badly in Weirdness Bonds, and had to sell. McGucket bought it and immediately began making it better, in his particular way.
A large, ornate Victorian mansion on a hilltop, visible from much of town. Manicured grounds, an elaborate iron gate, and an interior that looks like a catalog of inherited wealth: oil portraits, wood paneling, chandeliers, and rooms the family has forgotten about. Post-Weirdmageddon, now belongs to McGucket and renamed McGucket's Hootenanny Hutt.
