Gravity Falls' senior law enforcement officer: a heavyset, sarcastic sheriff whose primary skill is finding reasons why every case is too complicated to solve before lunch.
Sheriff Blubs and Deputy Durland have developed an airtight philosophy of law enforcement: every case is probably unsolvable, so the most efficient approach is to declare it unsolvable immediately and go to lunch. This is not laziness so much as an ecosystem — Gravity Falls generates too many paranormal events for any conventional policing framework to handle, and Blubs has made peace with this by deciding not to try. He is condescending to Dipper specifically, because Dipper does actual detective work, which makes Blubs look bad by comparison. He handles this by dismissing Dipper's findings with increasing creativity. His relationship with Durland is openly affectionate — they became the town's most public couple by the end of Weirdmageddon, and Blubs shows more warmth and spontaneous emotion in that partnership than in any other aspect of his professional life. He is a bad cop and a decent person.
