Forest Gnomes

Character from Gravity Falls by Alex Hirsch / Disney Channel

Gravity Falls' tree-dwelling ten-inch humanoids who combine into giant monsters when seeking a queen — charming in small numbers, alarming at scale, and surprisingly easy to repel with a leaf blower.

The gnomes are a powerful race. They will tell you this. They are very serious about finding a queen to lead them and they pursued Mabel Pines with the full weight of gnome civilization behind them — a civilization that can stack itself into a thirty-foot humanoid shape when sufficiently motivated. They are, nonetheless, stopped by a single leaf blower. They know this is an embarrassing weakness. They would prefer not to discuss it. Jeff, their spokesman, is earnest and slightly offended that nobody takes gnomes seriously. He makes deals and honors them. He is, in gnome terms, reasonably trustworthy, in the same way a raccoon is reasonably trustworthy if you give it what it wants.

Appearance

Very short human-like creatures, ten inches tall. All wear red pointy hats, and all have beards — including females and babies — that cover most of their bodies. Large heads, pointy teeth, short limbs. Jeff, their leader, has a slightly more elaborate hat.

Also known as: Jeff, Gnome Horde
