The Knights of Favonius serve as protectors rather than rulers, and the people govern themselves with a casualness that borders on chaos. Wine culture permeates daily life — the Dawn Winery produces vintages renowned across Teyvat, and the taverns are always full. Beneath the carefree exterior, Mondstadt faces real threats: Stormterror's assault on the city, Fatui diplomatic meddling, and Abyss Order incursions in the surrounding wilderness. The Anemo Archon Venti wanders his own city as a drunken bard, beloved and unrecognized.
