Dragonspine

Location from Genshin Impact by HoYoverse

A treacherous frozen mountain south of Mondstadt harboring the ruins of an ancient civilization destroyed by Celestia, where extreme cold and Cryo hazards threaten all who climb.

Dragonspine is a mountain of death and forgotten history. The ancient civilization of Sal Vindagnyr once thrived here before Celestia struck down their sacred tree, plunging the mountain into eternal winter. The cold is supernaturally intense — exposure drains the life from anyone without protection, and Cryo monsters roam freely among the ruins. Albedo, the chief alchemist of the Knights of Favonius, maintains a research camp on the mountain studying its unique properties and the remains of Durin, a corrupted dragon whose body is embedded in the mountainside. The Frostbearing Tree at the peak still holds residual power, and adventurers brave the climb seeking ancient artifacts and the truth about what Celestia destroyed.

Appearance

A towering snow-covered peak perpetually shrouded in blizzard conditions. Ancient stone ruins and collapsed pillars jut from ice sheets, half-buried by centuries of snowfall. A massive fossilized tree — the Frostbearing Tree — stands encased in ice near the summit, its crystalline branches catching pale light. The air shimmers with Cryo particles, and the cold intensifies with every step upward.
