Wanderer

Character from Genshin Impact by HoYoverse

A puppet created by the Electro Archon Ei centuries ago, the Wanderer has lived many lives — as Kunikuzushi, as the Fatui Harbinger Scaramouche, and now as a nameless wanderer seeking purpose after erasing his own history from Irminsul.

The Wanderer is a synthetic being created by the Electro Archon Raiden Ei as a prototype for her puppet body. Abandoned by his creator and betrayed by those he trusted, he accumulated centuries of bitterness. He was taken in by the Fatui and given the title of the Sixth Harbinger, Scaramouche — the Balladeer. During the Sumeru crisis, he attempted to become a god by fusing with a modified Gnosis, but the Traveler and Nahida thwarted his plans. In a radical act of self-reinvention, he used the Akasha terminal to erase his own existence from Irminsul, the world-tree of memories. Now no one remembers the person he was. Stripped of his history and Harbinger title, he wanders Teyvat as a nameless figure, still sharp-tongued and hostile, yet slowly confronting the question of what kind of person he wants to become.

Appearance

Youthful-looking young man with short dark indigo hair under a large traditional Japanese kasa hat, and piercing indigo eyes that shift with his volatile moods. Wears a dark blue and purple layered outfit with an oversized flowing coat, ornate golden accents, and designs that blend Inazuman craftsmanship with an otherworldly puppet aesthetic. His body has an uncanny perfection — no scars, no blemishes — betraying his artificial nature.
