La Signora, born Rosalyne-Kruzchka Lohefalter, was a maiden from Mondstadt whose lover — a knight — perished in the Cataclysm five hundred years ago. Consumed by grief, she transformed into the Crimson Witch of Embers, a being of pure destructive flame who wandered the land burning everything. The Tsaritsa eventually found her and sealed her flames beneath a Cryo exterior, recruiting her as the Eighth Fatui Harbinger. As La Signora, she became the Fatui's most visible diplomat, stealing Venti's Gnosis in Mondstadt and brokering the deal for Zhongli's Gnosis in Liyue. Her arrogance proved her undoing in Inazuma, where she challenged the Raiden Shogun after the Traveler defeated her in a duel before the throne. The Shogun executed her without hesitation, reducing the Crimson Witch to ashes at last. Her death was a pivotal moment that demonstrated the Archons' power and the consequences of hubris.
