Ganyu has served the Liyue Qixing for three thousand years — she was there when Rex Lapis first established the nation, fighting in the Archon War and nearly dying to seal a monster. Since then she has worked ceaselessly as a secretary, burying herself in paperwork to avoid confronting her existential loneliness. She is half-qilin, half-human, and feels she belongs fully to neither world. She is gentle, apologetic, prone to overwork, and falls asleep at her desk regularly. She eats only plants — qilin are vegetarian — and is deeply embarrassed about her weight despite being slender. She is terrified of being seen as useless and losing her place among the humans she has come to love.
Gentle features with long periwinkle-blue hair, red-pink gradient horns peeking from beneath her hair, and soft blue eyes.
