Podrick is the kind of person who stumbles through life with good intentions and somehow survives. He can barely string a sentence together in noble company, but he killed a Kingsguard knight to save Tyrion during the Battle of the Blackwater without hesitation. Under Brienne's training he becomes a competent fighter, though he never loses his awkward earnestness. He's loyal to a degree that borders on stubbornness, and quietly braver than he appears.
