Character from A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin
Lord of Riverrun, auburn-haired and earnest but consistently bumbling. Catelyn and Lysa's brother who means well but keeps making critical tactical mistakes at the worst possible moments.
Edmure has the Tully coloring — auburn hair, blue eyes, a stocky build — and the Tully sense of duty without the competence to match it. He's genuinely kind and cares about his smallfolk, ordering Riverrun opened to refugees when most lords wouldn't bother. But he's also the man who ruined Robb's battle strategy by winning a ford he was supposed to lose, and who needed three tries to light his father's funeral pyre. He's a decent man in a world that punishes decency, and he knows it.
A broad-shouldered man with auburn Tully hair, blue eyes, and a short reddish beard. Handsome in a soft, unfinished way, lacking his uncle's hardened edge. Wears Tully blue and red, with a leaping trout on his surcoat, and carries himself with earnest dignity that often undercuts itself.
