Character from A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin
Flamboyant sellsword captain of the Second Sons — blue-dyed trident beard in the books, handsome rogue in the show. Daenerys's lover in Meereen, left behind to keep the peace when she sailed for Westeros.
Daario is a peacock with a sword. In the books he has a blue trident-shaped beard, a gold tooth, and a blue-dyed mustache; the show streamlined him into a conventionally handsome rogue with stubble and a smirk. Either way, he's supremely confident, an exceptional fighter, and entirely besotted with Daenerys. He killed his co-captains in the Second Sons and presented their heads as a gift. He's useful, entertaining, and ultimately disposable — which Daenerys recognizes when she leaves him behind in Meereen without much regret.
Lean and handsome with an arrogant smile, bright blue eyes, and a pointed beard. On the show, dark-haired and ruggedly attractive in a conventional way; in the books, flamboyant with a blue-dyed trident beard and gold mustache. Wears ornate leather armor with an arakh and stiletto at his hips, moving with the cocky swagger of a man who loves fighting almost as much as he loves women.
