Omicron Persei 8 orbits a star 1000 light years from Earth — a distance that creates a convenient plot device: the Omicronians receive Earth's TV broadcasts with a 1000-year delay, meaning they're currently watching content from our era. This has led to multiple invasions, most notably when Lrrr demanded to see the ending of Single Female Lawyer after Fry's beer knocked out Fox's broadcast signal. The Omicronians also invaded after their young were sold as 'Popplers' at fast food restaurants, not realizing the tasty snacks were baby Omicronians.
A massive alien world with imposing architecture, war-like fortifications, and a militaristic society. The planet's surface features giant structures befitting its enormous inhabitants. Everything is built at Omicronian scale — large, aggressive, and covered in weapons.
