The Planet Express Ship, nicknamed 'Old Bessie' by the Professor, was designed and built by Professor Farnsworth. It does not actually move through space — instead, its Dark Matter Accelerator moves the entire universe around it, a fact that Cubert figured out to the Professor's annoyance. It runs on dark matter (supplied by Nibbler's excrement) and later whale oil after dark matter was rendered useless. The ship has been given a sentient personality on at least one occasion, during which it developed romantic feelings for Bender, became jealous when he dumped it, and went on a dangerous rampage. It has windshield wipers, a coffee maker, cup holders, a game room, cargo hold, laundry room, and was once painted pink when commandeered by eco-feminists. It has been destroyed and rebuilt multiple times, including once in a completely different art style.
A bright green (officially 'electric mucus') spacecraft with a rounded, organic shape, a large transparent cockpit dome, and retractable landing gear. Features include a laser turret, torpedo tubes, a giraffe net, and an elephant locator that can be set to 'large and woolly.'
