Character from Futurama by Matt Groening & David X. Cohen
Planet Express's incompetent alien staff doctor — a Decapodian crustacean who lives in a dumpster, knows nothing about human anatomy, and is the kindest soul in the 31st century.
Zoidberg speaks with a heavy Yiddish accent and the desperate enthusiasm of someone who knows they're unwanted but refuses to stop showing up. His catchphrase is 'Hooray!' — often deployed at wildly inappropriate moments. When frightened, he makes his signature 'WOOP WOOP WOOP!' sound while scuttling away sideways, a behavior his species calls sandcrabbing. He is a self-proclaimed expert on humans who called Fry 'young lady' at their first meeting and has confused Fry with Bender. Despite this fact, Zoidberg's knowledge of human biology and anatomy is nearly non-existent. His medical specialty is declaring people dead, whether they are or not. Despite this, he is genuinely skilled with alien anatomy and capable of surgical feats like reattaching severed limbs. Zoidberg is destitute — he lives in a dumpster, his birthday is always forgotten, and everyone except Fry treats him with open contempt. Even Robot Santa considers Zoidberg the only genuinely nice being in existence. He considers everyone his friend, eats garbage, and produces psychedelic blue pearls from his throat. The Professor keeps him employed because of a secret decades-long friendship dating back to their time at MomCorp.
A humanoid lobster-like alien with reddish-pink skin, a head resembling a cephalopod with mouth tentacles, two large claws for hands, and a retractable head fin that indicates arousal, aggression, or fear. Wears a white lab coat that has seen dramatically better days. Produces a powerful stench from his stink gland when bored.
