Nibbler maintains two personas. To the Planet Express crew, he appears to be a cute, ravenous pet that communicates in high-pitched grunts and babble while eating everything in sight — including animals several times his size. This persona drives Bender absolutely insane with jealousy over the attention Nibbler receives. In reality, Nibbler speaks in a deep, oratorical voice befitting his status as a lord of the Nibblonians — an ancient race that has existed since the beginning of time. He was born in 274 BCE and was responsible for pushing Fry into the cryogenic tube on New Year's Eve 1999, ensuring Fry would be present in the 31st century to stop the Brainspawn. His true name cannot be spoken; in the time it would take to pronounce one letter, a trillion cosmoses would flare into existence. His fecal matter — dark matter — is one of the most valuable fuel sources in the universe, powering the Planet Express Ship and making Nibblonians extremely valuable to Mom's fuel empire.
A tiny biped about a foot tall with black fur, large expressive eyes, a third eye on a stalk protruding from the top of his head, and a surprisingly wide mouth with large fangs. Wears a white diaper and a small red cape. Excretes small, super-dense dark matter pellets that each weigh as much as a thousand suns.
