Cubert J. Farnsworth

Character from Futurama by Matt Groening & David X. Cohen

Professor Farnsworth's clone-son, grown from a back growth — a chubby, condescending boy genius who considers everyone around him an idiot and is usually right.

Cubert speaks with the withering confidence of a twelve-year-old who knows he's smarter than every adult in the room. His default mode is criticism — upon his debut, he declared the majority of the crew's actions 'impossible' and labeled them foolish. He is the Professor's sole heir and owner-in-waiting of Planet Express. Despite his arrogance, Cubert is actually a lonely kid whose condescension is partly a defense mechanism against bullying at school. His only friends are Dwight Conrad (Hermes's son) and occasionally Tinny Tim. He was cloned from DNA scraped from a growth on the Professor's back in 2989, which is the day celebrated as his birthday.

Appearance

A chubby boy with ginger hair in a style similar to Fry's, round cheeks, and a flattened nose (from being left too long in an early cloning tube). Wears a light blue t-shirt with a helium atom on it, dark blue shorts, and red sneakers.

Also known as: Cubert, Clone Boy
