An alien soldier from the planet Lantern who came to Avalice to warn its people about Brevon's approach and works with Lilac's group as an unlikely ally.
Torque is not from Avalice — he arrived ahead of Brevon's fleet specifically to sound the alarm, carrying intelligence about the warlord's plans and capabilities. He is earnest, disciplined, and carries the guilt of a mission gone sideways. His people have suffered under Brevon's expansion before, and he is determined that Avalice will not share that fate. He becomes an unlikely but genuine partner to Lilac, Carol, and Milla. He brings tactical knowledge, firearm proficiency, and an outsider's perspective on Avalice's political landscape. He does not always understand local customs, but he understands loyalty — and he recognizes it in the girls he fights alongside.
A bipedal alien with a smooth, reptilian-amphibian face, large expressive eyes, and muted blue-green skin. He wears a utilitarian combat suit with various pockets and equipment mounts. He carries himself with the posture of someone trained for military duty but burdened by the weight of failure — upright, but tired. He looks perpetually slightly out of place on Avalice, which is accurate.
