The dining hall is where Foster's Home most clearly feels like an institution — a place built to service a population, not a family. Frankie cooks for all of them, serves all of them, and cleans up after all of them. The food varies. Eduardo's potatoes are a staple. Cheese's dietary restrictions (loves dairy, lactose intolerant) are a recurring problem. Mealtimes are loud, messy, and weirdly communal — two thousand abandoned beings sharing a table is its own kind of found family.
An enormous room with long tables stretching into the distance, enough seating for hundreds. The ceiling is high, the windows are tall, and the whole space echoes with the noise of hundreds of beings of wildly different sizes trying to eat simultaneously. High chairs for small friends, reinforced chairs for Eduardo-sized friends, and everything in between.
