A seeing-eye imaginary friend covered in over a hundred eyes — created by a blind boy who imagined a friend who could see everything for him.
Ivan was created by Stevie, a blind kid who needed a friend who could be his eyes. The concept is pure Foster's: take something that sounds creepy (a creature covered in eyes) and make it heartwarming (a kid who can't see imagined a friend who can see everything). Ivan is helpful, watchful, and deeply devoted to his purpose. He's a seeing-eye friend in the most literal possible sense.
Covered in eyes — more than a hundred of them, in different sizes, covering every surface of his body. It's visually overwhelming and slightly unsettling, but every single eye serves a purpose. He was designed to see, and he sees everything.
