Foul Larry is the imaginary friend equivalent of an enforcer. During the basketball game that defined Wilt's life, Foul Larry was the opponent — the one Wilt threw himself in front of to protect Jordan Michaels. The collision cost Wilt his arm and damaged his eye. Foul Larry plays dirty, hits hard, and was likely imagined by a kid who wanted to win at any cost. He represents the darker side of imagination — not every child imagines something kind. Some imagine weapons.
