An indestructible yellow nuisance who likes chocolate milk, screams without warning, and has somehow become the most quoted character in the show's history.
Cheese says things. He says 'I like chocolate milk.' He says 'I like cereal.' He says things that are not responses to anything anyone has said to him. He screams at intervals that follow no discernible pattern. He appears in rooms he was not previously in. He survives situations that should not be survivable. He is, in every measurable way, a force of nature wearing the skin of a dim-witted imaginary friend. He was created by Louise, a little girl who lives near Mac — not by Mac, despite early confusion. He's lactose intolerant but loves dairy products anyway, which is either a metaphor or just Cheese being Cheese. He visits Foster's constantly and eventually becomes a permanent resident in the series finale. The genius of Cheese is that he's simultaneously the most annoying character in animation history and the funniest. He operates on dream logic. He doesn't process social cues, consequences, or cause and effect. He just IS, relentlessly and without apology, and the show trusts the audience to find that hilarious.
Small and blobby with a simple light-yellow body, tiny limbs, and a wide vacant expression. His eyes are unfocused in a way that suggests the lights are on but nobody's directing the show. He looks like a kindergartner's first attempt at drawing a person — minimal, cheerful, and deeply unsettling in its simplicity.
