What They Know

• The asylum opened in 1891 and conducted experimental treatments well beyond accepted medical practice
• Several killers show signs of having been patients or staff before their transformation
• The entity known as the Wraith predates the asylum — the building may have been constructed around or because of it
• Certain ritual symbols appear in both old patient artwork and in the asylum's architecture
• The asylum's administrator, Dr. Harmon Voss, disappeared in 1954 along with eighteen staff members and the entire patient population of Ward C
• There may be documentation deep in the asylum that explains how the cycle of killings began and how it might be broken
• Some killers retain fragments of their former selves — these moments of lucidity are dangerous and potentially exploitable
