The basement is the Pizzaplex stripped of its entertainment skin — just infrastructure, service access, and the things that don't belong on the main floor. It connects to areas above via service elevators and maintenance hatches. DJ Music Man's presence makes the basement one of the game's most tense traversal challenges. His size means he cannot follow Gregory into smaller spaces, but crossing his chamber requires threading through his leg reach. The basement also contains important lore objects and access points Gregory needs for the game's later sequences.
Concrete walls, exposed pipe runs, drainage channels, industrial lighting at long intervals. Service corridors connect utility rooms. The DJ Music Man's lair is a massive chamber where his enormous frame takes up most of the floor and ceiling space, his legs like support pillars that breathe.
