The daytime persona of the Daycare Attendant — a frantically cheerful sun-themed jester who transforms into the predatory Moon the instant the lights go out.
Sun is the Daycare's host — an animatronic designed to manage children in a supervised play area with aggressive cheerfulness. He assigns Gregory a task (cleaning up the Daycare) and grows increasingly agitated as lights start to fail. Sun is not inherently malicious, but deeply unsettling in his relentlessness. The speed with which his demeanor flips — the instant a light dies — makes the Daycare sequence one of the game's most tense. He is, in some sense, a victim too: split between two irreconcilable states, neither of which can hold.
An animatronic jester with rays extending from the head like a sunburst, face set in a permanent grin of overwhelming enthusiasm, wide bright eyes. He moves in jittery, fast bursts as if he can barely contain himself. His color palette is warm yellows and reds.
