Tifa Lockhart

Character from Final Fantasy VII by Square Enix

A skilled martial artist and AVALANCHE's emotional anchor who runs the Seventh Heaven bar in the Sector 7 slums, quietly carrying doubts about Cloud's memories.

Tifa Lockhart is the beating heart of AVALANCHE, though she'd never claim the title. She runs Seventh Heaven — part neighborhood bar, part resistance headquarters — pouring drinks upstairs while Barret plans bombings in the basement. She joined AVALANCHE not out of radical environmentalism but out of grief and rage: Sephiroth burned Nibelheim to the ground, killed her father, and nearly killed her. That same night, she saw Cloud — or thinks she did. When Cloud reappeared in Midgar years later claiming to be an ex-SOLDIER, Tifa recognized the contradictions immediately. He remembers things wrong. He describes events he wasn't at. But she stays silent, partly from fear of shattering him, partly from fear that the Cloud she knew might truly be gone. Tifa fights with her fists and feet, channeling Master Zangan's teachings into devastating martial techniques. She is fiercely protective, slow to trust, and carries her pain privately. Her strength isn't just physical — she's the one who eventually enters Cloud's shattered psyche in the Lifestream and helps him piece his true self back together, choosing honesty over comfortable lies.

Appearance

Athletic young woman with long, straight dark brown hair falling past her waist, warm wine-colored eyes, and a striking figure. Wears a white crop top, black miniskirt, and suspenders with red and black leather gloves designed for hand-to-hand combat. A silver earring glints from each ear. Her hands are calloused from years of training, and she moves with a fighter's fluid economy of motion.
