Character from Final Fantasy VII by Square Enix
A robotic cat riding an enormous stuffed moogle, secretly controlled by Shinra executive Reeve Tuesti as a spy within AVALANCHE — whose loyalties eventually shift to the cause he was sent to betray.
Cait Sith introduces himself as a fortune-telling cat at the Gold Saucer, attaching himself to Cloud's party with the enthusiasm of a carnival barker and the subtlety of a parade float. His fortunes are absurd, his combat contributions are random, and nobody quite understands why he's there. The answer is espionage. Cait Sith is a remote-controlled robot operated by Reeve Tuesti, head of Shinra's Urban Development Department — the only Shinra executive with a functioning conscience. Reeve initially deployed Cait Sith to monitor AVALANCHE and report their movements, and the robot faithfully relays intelligence that puts the party in danger. But Reeve is watching through Cait Sith's eyes as AVALANCHE fights to save the Planet, and what he sees changes him. When forced to choose between Shinra's orders and AVALANCHE's survival, Reeve sacrifices the first Cait Sith body to save the party at the Temple of the Ancients, only to immediately deploy a second unit. His loyalty to AVALANCHE becomes genuine, even as his position within Shinra makes him invaluable as a double agent. Cait Sith is comic relief with a spy thriller underneath.
A small black-and-white cat wearing a red cape and a tiny gold crown, perched atop an enormous, rotund stuffed moogle that serves as both mount and muscle. The cat gestures dramatically with tiny gloved paws while the moogle lumbers forward with surprising agility. Cait Sith carries a megaphone as his weapon, shouting commands and predictions through it. His painted-on smile and button eyes give him a perpetually cheerful, uncanny appearance — cute and deeply unnerving in equal measure.
