Spooner Street is named after Spooner Hill Road in Kent, CT, near Seth MacFarlane's boyhood home. The street's residents have an unusually high density of recurring characters for a single block, which the show explains through proximity and ignores through plausibility. In 'Love Thy Trophy,' the street won first prize in a community parade float competition for their 'Who's the Boss' themed float. This is a representative Spooner Street achievement. Joe Swanson is the only resident who actually pays for his cable.
