The Pewterschmidt family mansion — a generationally wealthy compound in Newport County with grounds, servants, a Rancor pit, and Carter's sense of himself embedded in every room.

The Pewterschmidt Estate is the physical expression of Carter's power in the same way that 31 Spooner Street is the physical expression of Peter's world. Both are houses; only one has a Rancor pit. Lois grew up here with a nanny who paid more attention to her than either parent did. Carter kept Mexican immigrants as gardeners while opposing immigration. The mansion has been turned into a hotel by Peter, which did not go as Carter intended. The estate is accessible by a long drive from the main road and has been used in multiple episodes as the venue for events that require money, space, or a Rancor.

Appearance

A large, well-maintained New England estate with the proportions of old money: wide lawns, a long drive, rooms large enough to echo. Inside: art, period furniture, and the general atmosphere of a house that was built to impress people Carter has since decided are beneath him.
