Pawtucket Patriot Ale is Quahog's beer in the same way that Duff is Springfield's beer, which turned out to be legally significant: 'The Simpsons Guy' crossover established in a courtroom that Pawtucket Patriot Ale was essentially Duff Beer with a new label. The brewery lost this case briefly before the Simpsons characters decided not to care. Peter drinks Pawtucket Patriot Ale with the devotion of a religious practice. The Drunken Clam runs on it. It is the social lubricant of the Spooner Street world.

Appearance

A bottle or can with the Pawtucket Patriot on the label — a colonial-era figure, the show's mascot for local pride. Green bottle, consistent with the visual grammar of a regional beer that wants to be taken seriously.
