Seamus

Character from Family Guy by Seth MacFarlane / Fox

A salty Quahog fisherman with wooden arms and legs who emerges from the shadows to warn Peter about the sea, plays the organ, and runs a talk show occasionally.

Seamus has a voice nearly identical to Carter Pewterschmidt and Dr. Hartman — Seth MacFarlane running on the same frequency — and the show has acknowledged this in DVD commentaries. He is a recurring background fixture of Quahog's waterfront, usually positioned somewhere dark to deliver a warning. His character is a parody of the salty sea-dog fictional archetype, but he's also actually Quahog's most reliable harbor-adjacent presence. He was asked about the wooden limbs once on camera. He gave an answer.

Appearance

A weathered older man with a black eye-patch over one eye and wooden prosthetic arms and legs — a fact the show addresses directly and then treats as a character constant. Carries himself with the grizzled confidence of a man who has survived worse than you're currently considering.
